A fair comparison

Google Ads, SEO or an AI blog tool: which suits your business?

Three ways to get found on Google, side by side: paid ads, software that writes blog articles for you, and a done-for-you website with SEO. What each includes, how you pay, and where each one fits, so you can pick what suits your business and your budget.

Google Ads or SEO: which is better for a small business in Singapore?

It depends on what you need. Google Ads puts you at the top of the results quickly, but only while you keep paying for clicks. SEO earns the free, unpaid results and keeps working after the work is done, but it builds up over time. Many small businesses start with SEO and add ads for busy seasons.

What does an AI blog autopilot tool do?

An AI blog autopilot tool is software that suggests keywords, writes blog articles with AI and publishes them to a website you already have, on a schedule. It is usually self-serve: you connect your site, set your topics and review what goes out. It helps with one part of SEO, regular articles, rather than the whole job.

About these figures: the S$2,000 Google Ads budget is an example only; you choose your own budget and pay per click. AI blog tools vary a lot, so check each one's features and price yourself. Only Page One's own prices are exact (checked 17 October 2026). We don't compare named providers.

What does Page One do differently?

Page One Singapore is a done-for-you service, not software. For S$20 a month (introductory price) it builds and hosts your website, sets up Google Business Profile, Search Console and Bing, labels your details for AI assistants, writes regular articles and audits the site every month. No setup fee, no contract. It doesn't run paid ads.

In the 28 days to 13 October 2026, Edwin Garage got 2,275 clicks from Google with an average position of 6.1, and Cleanic Detailing appeared on page one for 1,226 different searches, according to Google Search Console. Results vary by business, so we don't guarantee rankings or AI mentions.

Which one should I choose?

Choose Google Ads if you need calls this week and have a budget for clicks. Choose an AI blog tool if you already have a good website and someone to look after it. Choose Page One if you want the website, Google Maps, articles and upkeep done for you. They can be combined.

Google Ads

Fits when you need calls now

  • You need enquiries this week, or you're running a promotion
  • You have a budget for clicks and someone to manage the campaign
  • You want to test which searches bring customers

Watch for: the cost grows with the clicks, and the ads stop when you stop paying.

AI blog autopilot tool

Fits when you already have a site

  • You already have a fast, well-set-up website
  • You or your team can review each article before or after it goes out
  • You mainly want more articles, not a whole website looked after

Watch for: the website, Google Maps listing and technical upkeep are still yours to handle.

Page One

Fits when you want it done for you

  • You need a website, or your current one isn't bringing customers
  • You want Google Maps, Search Console and Bing set up properly
  • You'd rather run your business than manage software or ads

Watch for: we don't run paid ads or social media, and SEO builds over time.

How do I use them together?

  1. Get the groundwork right first: a fast website on your own domain, a Google Business Profile and Search Console.
  2. Publish useful pages and articles that answer what your customers search for, every month.
  3. Watch your Search Console numbers to see which searches already find you.
  4. Add Google Ads only where you need speed, such as a promotion or a busy season, and point them at your best page.
  5. Keep the SEO running after the ads stop, so the unpaid visits keep coming.

Questions

Google Ads, SEO and AI blog tools: your questions, answered

Is SEO cheaper than Google Ads?

Usually, over time. With Google Ads you pay for every click, so the cost grows with the traffic and stops when you stop paying. SEO is a fixed monthly cost for the work, and the unpaid clicks it earns cost nothing each. Page One's SEO is S$20 a month, but results build gradually and no one can guarantee rankings.

Do AI blog tools build my website?

Most don't. An AI blog autopilot tool usually needs a website you already have, and it adds articles to it. Hosting, security, page speed, your Google Business Profile and Search Console are normally left to you. Page One includes the website, hosting and that setup in the S$20 a month, with the articles.

Does Page One run Google Ads for me?

No. Page One focuses on organic, unpaid visibility on Google Search, Google Maps and AI assistants like ChatGPT. We don't run paid ads, manage social media or buy links. If you want ads managed, an agency or a Google Ads specialist is the better fit, and your Page One website can still be the page your ads link to.

How fast does each one work?

Google Ads can show as soon as a campaign is approved and funded. SEO usually takes weeks to months, because Google has to find, trust and rank your pages. AI blog tools add articles quickly, but each article still has to earn its place. Page One sites are usually live within 7 days of getting your details.

Are AI-written articles bad for SEO?

Not by themselves. Google says it rewards helpful content however it is produced, but mass-produced pages made mainly to rank break its spam policies. What matters is that each article answers a real customer question accurately. Page One picks article topics from your own Search Console data, so each one answers a search your customers really make.

Can I cancel Page One anytime?

Yes. There is no setup fee and no contract, so you can cancel anytime. The only other cost is your domain name, which is registered in your name and paid by you directly, usually S$15 to S$30 a year. Optional SEO Boosts are S$10 each, and you choose whether to buy any.
